Bad internet practices costs businesses £31 billion

It’s a sorry state of affairs when businesses cannot be bothered to respond to emails, and not only that it has been estimated that this practice could be costing businesses in the UK around £31.6 billion every year.

In a survey conducted by Vodafone UK, it was found that one in ten workers respond to emails from friends and family, while less that 25% of workers bother to respond to an email from potential new customers enquiring about their products and services.

This is a real shame, and businesses really need to fine tune their staff in order how to use the internet as a business tool, it is such a waste to see all of that new business going somewhere else, just because somebody in the office could not be bothered to reply to a simple email.
