Vatican set to create solar power plant

The Vatican are looking to go green, but this is not some small turbine or a couple of solar panels they are going green in seriously big way.

Vatican City is the smallest nation in the world it covers a small area and there are around forty thousand households within the site. It is the intention of the Vatican to become the world’s first and only solar powered state.

The cost of this investment will be around £300 million, but this solar powered plant will produce around 100 megawatts of green power.

It is a great idea and even with this in place, the green transition will continue throughout the city, with other carbon footprint cutting measure being put in place. This is a good example of how a city can become completely green.
