Space suit for sale, one careful owner

It was in 1957 when the Russians launched the first spacecraft and started the space race that is over fifty years worth of space equipment and there is a big business building in the selling of used space equipment to enthusiastic collectors.

Each year there are several auctions that have developed regular sales of this equipment. The items go for as low as a few pounds right up to thousands of pounds.

The next major sale is taking place on the 16th April; this will last for up to four days, which gives an idea of how much stuff there is for sale.

This time the top item is a US spacesuit from the Gemini flights, it is expected to fetch anything up to $500,000! Although there is other, less expensive items to be snapped up for a few dollars.
