Apple takes 10% of browser market

February is always a strange month for most things, it could be that winter is coming to an end or that we are all just recovering from the expense of the festive season, but one thing that stood out last month was the browser sector.

February has been the month of the Beta, for some reason there has been marked improvement in the amount of computer users switching to a beta browser.

The market share for browsers according to Net Applications is:

Internet Explorer dropped from 68.18% to 68.17%
Firefox gained from 21.75% to 21.96%
Safari dropped from 7.70% to 7.42%.
Google’s Chrome climbed from 1.13% to 1.16%
Opera gained 0.02 points from 0.68% to 0.70%

In all it looks as if Microsoft has been able to slow things down with the release of IE8, but there is a lot of good competition out there.
