Apple payout for scratched iPods

Apple have settled a class action law suit where customers who bought an iPod were disappointed to find that there were quality issues with the product, this was brought about because how easily it was for the devices surfaces to become scratched.

The law suit argued that Apple was aware that the high gloss surface could be easily scratched by users when they operated the device, these scratches made the iPod look cheap and customers where not happy about that.

Apple have agreed to pay out $22.5 million in damages, but will not be holding their hands up to any wrong doing in this matter, before this case is settled it will have to go in front of the California Superior Court in LA.
