Microsoft signs deal with Dell

Two giants of the computing world have signed an agreement, which will see Microsoft’s Live Search toolbar preinstalled on new Dell machines.

There has been no official confirmation that a deal has been done between the two firms yet, but it is believed to be coming very soon, if there is deal at all that is.

A couple of years ago a similar deal was agreed between Dell and Google where new machines where delivered with the Google search bar preloaded as well as a Dell/Google homepage.

Microsoft also has a similar deal with Lenovo, so this is not an unusual thing to be happening, unless you are a Dell customer.

There has been no indication that a similar situation is about to happen. Of course, it could all be speculation and no deal will be announced. It is just one of those situations where the story is there, but nobody will confirm or deny it.
