Scottish £10 marine energy prize up for grabs

The future of energy and where we will be getting our supplies from is always an important subject, we have seen how green power from solar panels and wind turbines is already making an impact on energy production, but wave power is going to be the next big thing.

Scotland wants to be at the forefront of the power from the sea, to this end there is a challenge being issued to any firm that feels they can deliver a viable method of obtaining power from wave or tidal technology.

This is award of around £10 million will go the organisation which provides power from sea over a two year period. This plan falls in line, will the current feeling that Scotland is the Saudi Arabia of sea power; this is because the country has a rugged coastline surrounded by an abundance of waves, which are ideal to the green power.
