Should eBay auction off Skype?

The way that people use the internet is changing all of the time, and there is no doubt that any business that uses the internet as their primary source of business need to change their style and practices accordingly.

One such success is eBay, they have grown and kept growing because they have adapted to the changes in the way that people shop and the way that the internet can be used, but there is one thorn in their side and that is Skype.

Initially it would have appeared to be a great move, but after buying Skype it seems that eBay cannot find anywhere for it to fit into their business model.

Yet Skype is a great stand alone business, it is just in the wrong hands. Skype should either compete with or become part of a telecom company, there it would grow and compete with the rest of the communications industry.
