Al Gore wants people to try renewable energy

With a new government pending in the US, some of the old warhorses are coming out of the woodwork. In this case, it is the world most famous environmentalist and ex-vice president Al Gore who is speaking out.

He feels that with a new government, this could be the time when the USA makes some serious moves into becoming a greener society; this could be kicked off by the new president making the right moves to ensure that the US is a hundred per cent renewable energy user within ten years.

The incoming president Barack Obama has already stated that he will make nearly £100 billion available over the next ten years to be invested renewable energy sources, but is this going to be enough.

The US have a chance to show that they can change and lead the way in renewable energy, whether they take this up is another matter.
