Ford speed limiter

There has always been a safety concern by parents when their children first take to the road after passing their driving tests. Despite changing laws and speed cameras, this still has little or no effect on accidents involving the younger driver.

This has led parents to feel helpless, until now! The Ford Motor Company have been listening to the concerns and in 2010 will be introducing a new system that will give control of their cars beck to them and at the same time help younger drivers become safer drivers.

The system is called MyKey; this will allow parents to limit the top speed of the car to 80 mph, control the output of the cars music system and even make the car omit a continuous alert when the seat belts are not worn.
