MTV award for Rickrolling

When the MTV Europe Music Awards open up in Liverpool there is going to be a surprise challenger for the title of best music act. Rick Astley was best known for topping the charts both here and in the US during the eighties, but all of sudden decided that he had enough and gave it all up.

However, following a mega campaign on the internet the phenomenon known as Rickrolling started and a legend was born, again!

Rickrolling was where people were tricked into listening to the stars hit “Never gonna give you up” millions of people ended up listening to the song and playing the song to friends etc.

The competition will be intense for the title as there are nominations for U2, Britney Spears, Green Day and Christina Aguilera. As the winner will be decided by the fans then it is likely that Rickrolling could be a surprise winner on the 6th November.
