Private rocket in orbit

Space history has been made when Space X blasted into orbit, nothing great about! Well it is something special as Falcon 1, which has become the first privately owned rocket to reach orbit. This launch was the fourth attempt by the organisation, the first three failing to launch.

The rocket, which blasted off from their base at Kwajalein Atoll in the South Pacific, was filmed from all angles including some cameras, which were fixed to the spacecraft itself.

Travelling at speeds of 5,200 metres per second, and end up in a higher orbit than the international space station, which must have been a surprise.

The next flight is planned for January next year, and future flights are already in the planning stages.
