Postman who did not deliver
A postal worker from Edinburgh but who now works in Germany has been caught with over twenty thousand letters in his home that he failed to deliver. Police in Frankfurt say that for the entire month of August he failed to deliver any mail at all. In fact, he even failed to deliver mail to his own address, although the post was actually in the post bags.
None of the mail had been opened, it was not a crime where he was looking for cash, credit cards are personal details, he simply could not cope with the post round and attend night school as well.
The police needed two vans to transport the post, which included letters from doctors, solicitors and other important mail. Whether these letters will now be passed on to the rightful addressees is not known, but the postal worker is like to be charged with theft and embezzlement.
