Apple gets a huge slice of phone market
There is no doubt that Apple has carved out a nice piece of the phone market for touch screen mobile phones and in fact they are expected to become the market leader in the US for this product by the end of the year.
The iPhone will have around thirty five per cent of the touch screen mobile phone market as they will have sold around six and half million iPhone’s, the reason for this success is two fold.
They have used their popularity as an innovator of new technology to attract customers; they have also created a user friendly device with an interface that no other device has delivered yet.
They do have competition from Samsung who have their own touch screen phones and of course the Blackberry, but these have not seen such a huge push in sales as the iPhone has.
