Google increases day care costs

You can always tell when company means business, when they start looking to the costs of the benefits that they providing their staff with. Google of course no different to any business now and they too have been looking into the costs of the perks which their staff love so much.

But instead of looking at the free donuts and head massages, no, they have been checking out the costs of the child day care that they provide. This is not free of charge, but it is at a greatly reduced price. Not for any longer though.

At the moment working parents are paying around $1,450 per month, but this is set to rise to $2,500, which is in fact well over the going rate. Someone with two children in Google day care can expect to be paying $33,000, but when the price increases take place it will be $57,000 a rise of seventy five per cent.
