Segway sales up
The famous Segway personal transport system, have been around since 2001 when the inventor Dean Kamen launched it onto the unsuspecting world to the same sort of public response as the personal transport that Sir Clive Sinclair invented, the Sinclair C5!
But it seems that the tide is changing and the Segway is making a big splash in the states as the price of fuel lifts over the $4 per gallon (Yes, it really is just £2 per gallon over there, although there is a slight difference in volume!) some people are saving around a lot of cash and the environment too.
The Segway has a price of around $5,000 which means the average family could buy one each for the price of the average family car. But you just really cannot see hundreds of these personal transport machines using the roads, can you?
