Could search be finished?

For some people search is probably already finished, ever since the introduction of social networking it would seem that many people who just lurked around the internet searching for something interesting, would have used a search engine to find what they were looking for.

But ever since the likes of FaceBook, MySpace and Second Life took to the internet things have been changing, small and large groups of people who all have something in common, now this type of social networking is going to be better than search.

The reason why social networking works for some people, it’s the way similar minded people all link up, they all find and know of different websites and so there is now no need for them to seek out what they are looking for through a search engine, they just go to their friends and get what they want.
