Bio fuels are bad business

By 2010 all vehicles in the UK will be using at least some part of bio fuel when they fill up at the petrol station. This is the UK government’s way of reducing green house gases and the reliance of fossil fuels.

But this is move that is bound to upset many green groups and charities who believe that this type of product is not only bad for the environment, but is not doing any good for countries who are being forced to produce plant materials for bio fuels, instead plants for food.

There are many people with the fuel and food industry who claim that the use of bio fuels is just a way of delaying the inevitable, once fossil fuels reach the levels where it is impractical to use any more then bio fuels will not be able to sustain the amount needed to gap the void. A permanent solution is needed, not a stopgap.
