Internet is the future for TV

TV execs in the US have been conducting a few experiments recently in order to find a new audience for their programming. They have noticed that viewing figures from the traditional source the television, are falling and in some cases are worrying low.

The problem that faces commercial TV is the fact that it is driven by advertising if the viewing figures are falling then the advertising revenues are going to start to fall too. This would mean that these channels could not afford to commission or buy any new programmes to show.

But in order to boost their ratings, channels are looking at the internet as another platform to launch their new programming in. Some TV channel websites are gaining million of viewers when they experiment with putting prime time TV shows on line. The problem is can the internet take it?
