Man jailed for forgetting drinks under trolley

This sort of thing must have happened to virtually everyone at some time, you are getting your weekly shopping at the supermarket and because they put all of the light stuff at the beginning of the store, by the time you get round to the heavy stuff like drinks etc, they have to go to be put else.

In some stores the shopping trolleys have a tray underneath where some of these heavy items can be placed and yes sometimes in the rush to out of there, it is possible to forget to place these items onto the checkout.

This is apparently what happened to one guy in the states, he left the soda worth $4 on the bottom tray and found himself not only being pulled up for it, but he had to spend the night in a police cell and this is all for $4!
