Email abuse can damage your wealth

It seems that if you are in the habit of accessing your emails or taking a quick peep at what happening on your favourite social networking site while at work, then you could find yourself getting into deep trouble with your employers.

As in a recent survey of over 300 companies of all sizes in the US has found that around a quarter of employers have fired employees for misusing email and around a third have fired employees for misusing the internet while being at work.

It is not just using the internet or email that concerns the employers which is bad enough during work time; it is the content that is being accessed like porn and other things, when it comes to email it is the misuse of this system for sending offensive or abusive emails that is getting people into trouble. Companies are now employing many different tactics in an attempt to stop this from happening; these include blocking, tracking content, keystrokes and reviewing computer files.
