New ethnic food business

Space cuisine is set to take on a more international flavour when South Koreas first astronaut Ko San visits the international space station in April, but he will be bringing along with him something that has never been tried before in space, Kimchi which is the national dish of South Korea.

However although this may be a simple matter of producing this food while at home, taking food into space is an entirely different matter, in fact in order for him to enjoy the comforts of home while he orbits the earth it has cost millions of dollars in research and time.

This is one of the great things about having different nationalities arriving at the space station that they will need to adapt different foods from all over the world and try to make them safe from radiation etc, but at the same time create a food that is also edible. It is amazing how the little things make all of the different.
