Carol singers have to copyright

As always the Christmas spirit is running through the veins of everyone, you can always tell because there is the element of “Scrooge” that comes out in some form or another.

This time it is the people who police the copyrights are hitting children who like to sing Christmas carols!

The Performing Rights Society have visited a charity who had the radio on just a little too high in the kitchen of the tea room that they run, the charity needed a licence so after a few fund raising events the licence was purchased and therefore everyone was happy right? Wrong, because at Christmas the charity hold a Christmas carol concert where kids sing all of those festive favourites and naturally because they have a licence the PRS want their payment, Happy Christmas.
